The name Avatara by ter Hürne GmbH & Co. KG in Südlohn has been known in the flooring market for over ten years now, and has earned a good reputation for its superior design in terms of look and feel. Now, the experts at ter Hürne have expanded the Avatara range with characteristics that are completely in line with ter Hürne’s principles of healthy living. The appearance, haptics, formats, material, equipment and designs of the Avatara range have also had a makeover.

As natural as wood, as easy-going as a design floor. Avatara from ter Hürne combines the naturalness of a real wood floor with the functional properties of a design floor. It looks incredibly real and is virtually indistinguishable from wood. This is made possible by a new digital printing process that creates an authentic appearance with realistic structures. What you see and what you feel is conveyed to you holistically: this floor is on a par with nature.

An extremely dense wood composite baseboard (ExtremeDense), the core of the Dureco floor, in which very fine wood fibres are compressed together so tightly that moisture penetration is prevented to the maximum.

For Avatara PERFORM, ter Hürne uses a baseboard made from the innovative material Talcusan®. The company selected this novel material because it is in line with the corporate policy of healthy living. Talcusan® consists mainly of silicates, chalk and the environmentally harmless additive, polypropylene – and is thus free of PVC, plasticizers and other solvents.

All Avatara 3.0 design floors are certified with the Blue Angel and the ECOlabel. The Avatara 3.0 design floor is made entirely in Germany, from the design concept to production.
